Problem definition:

After completing the File Level Restore wizard and initiating a file level restore task, the task quickly fails out with Error 11018: Failed to get FLR Connection.

Cause:

This error may be the result of providing credentials in the 'Login' step of the FLR wizard that do not have local administrator credentials on the virtual machine.

Resolution:

1) Obtain credentials with local administrator privileges for the virtual machine or assign local administrator privileges to the credentials being used on the virtual machine.

2) Close out of the internet browser entirely on the computer from which you are running the File Level Restore Wizard.  This includes closing browser tabs or windows for unrelated websites.

3) Open a new browser instance, connect to vCloud Director and reattempt the FLR using local administrator credentials.
